I'm not loyal to any tool. I'm an expert at getting maximum value out of whatever the best one is right now — earlier than the people around me, and in production, not in theory.
That's a pattern, and it's an old one. In 2009 the leverage was in spaced-repetition software and OCR; I used them to teach myself Japanese and Chinese to professional fluency, years before language apps were mainstream. When the leverage moved to SQL and data pipelines, I cut a 60–80 person-hour compliance reporting cycle to under 5 hours. When it was browser automation, I saved $50k+ in vendor time with tooling that processed tens of thousands of cases. The throughline across 11+ years at Google and Roblox, and years before that as a self-taught linguist, is the same: find where the real leverage has moved, get fluent fast, and turn it into a reliable system before it's obvious.
Right now that frontier is agentic AI. My current work is getting the most out of Claude Code — wiring coding agents into real workflows so they do meaningful work reliably, not just demos.
