Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Gemini API key — stored in the device’s secure keystore via flutter_secure_storage. It never leaves your device except in requests you initiate to Google’s Gemini API.
• Child profile — the name, age, interests, and reading level you enter to personalize stories. Stored in local app preferences.
• Story specs and session state — titles, themes, sight words, and other inputs you enter. Stored in local app preferences.
• Generated stories and images — saved to your device’s local storage only. Sharing is always initiated explicitly by you.

None of this data is transmitted to the App’s developer or any third party other than Google as described below.

Data Sent to Google Gemini

When you tap Generate, the App sends your story spec (theme, sight words, character name, etc.) and relevant profile fields (child’s name, age, reading level) to the Google Gemini API to produce the story text and illustrations. This data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and the Gemini API Terms of Service. The App does not control how Google processes or retains this data.

Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, or usage statistics. There are no advertising SDKs, no tracking pixels, and no account or login requirement.

Children’s Privacy

The App is a personal parenting tool operated by an adult. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children independently of the adult using the App. Any child profile data entered by the parent is stored only on the parent’s device.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
